The Fashion and Textile Museum is thrilled to announce that its retrospective exhibition Foale and Tuffin – Made in England is now open to the public.
Foale and Tuffin – Made in England presents a vibrant and inspiring representation of
two key British fashion designers of the 1960s and the part they played in creating the changing London scene.
Many things have been written about fashion in London in the sixties but one of the most overlooked stories is that of Marion Foale and Sally Tuffin who, as part of London’s ‘Youthquake’, were at the heart of the cultural explosion.
The exhibition revisits the sixties vibe with a recreation of their boutique, showroom and design studio and charts the very personal story of two women who set up on their own with just a lot of courage and £200 in their pockets! Marion Foale says ‘I am excited and honoured to be featured at the Fashion &
Textile Museum, it is a beautifully presented exhibition - a 'Deja Vu' moment in time and what fun!’
