About Suntrap Garden

Suntrap Garden for Lifelong Learning is a beautiful three acre ornamental garden situated near Ratho on the outskirts of Edinburgh.
Run as a satellite centre for Oatridge College, the garden offers a wide range of daytime, evening and weekend vocational gardening courses and workshops in partnership with the Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society.
Attendees of these classes can use them as a stepping stone to advanced courses or full time horticultural studies at Oatridge’s main campus.
The National Bonsai Collection of Scotland is on display in the garden. There are plants for sale, gardening club memberships and volunteering opportunities. The garden is also available for conference and event hire.
