About Fishbourne Roman Palace

The Roman Palace and Gardens at Fishbourne showcases the remains of the largest and earliest Roman residence in Britain which was in its splendour in the first century AD and is now one of the most beautiful and comprehensive archaeological experiences in the UK. Visitors can marvel at the biggest collection of early Roman mosaic floors north of Rome, gaze upon what is reputedly one of the last remaining portraits of the disgraced Roman Emperor Nero and stroll in the replanted oranamental Roman courtyard garden. With a gift shop and recently opened Lime at the Palace cafe, there is much to enjoy.
