West End Local History Museum and Heritage Centre

Designed by Herbert Collins, a noted local architect, to match the houses around it in what is now a Conservation Area, the Old fire Station contains an extensive and ever-growing archive of local material which includes (maps, directories, sale notices, photographs etc).
The display areas of the Museum are constantly being updated to reflect the history of the area and its inhabitants. From West End's Bronze Age barrow to its connections with Titanic, Florence Nightingale, Hitler and Napoleon, information can be found in the Museum.
