The Poppy Line (North Norfolk Railway). The Poppy Line is one of Britain's most scenic steam heritage railways, offering spectacular views as it runs from the seaside resort of Sheringham along the cliffs to Weybourne and up through glorious heathland to the market town of Holt. Attractions include three beautifully restored Victorian stations, the William Marriott Museum at Holt and, of course, full-size steam engines and historic trains. In 2010, steam trains will operate every day from 1st April to 31st October, plus Santa Specials in December and weekend running in February and March. Special events include a beer festival in July, a Steam Gala in early September, and the famous '40s Weekend on 18/19 September.
