About The Jewish Military Museum

The Jewish Military Museum is a treasure chest bursting with a fascinating mix of history and memorabilia, belonging to British Jewish Servicemen and Women, who fought and often lost their lives serving their country at war.
Research has produced evidence of Jewish participation in the British Armed Forces from as early as the Battle of Quebec 1754 – 1763 and right through to the enormous number of Jews who fought during the two world wars and other notable campaigns.
Filled with stories, documentation and pictorial history as well as some rare military artefacts, the Jewish Military Museum offers a journey through time, telling stories of the courage and heroism of British Jews who served in the army, navy, air force, chaplaincy (rabbis) and of course the firemen, nurses and volunteers.
With recent contributions from current serving Jewish personnel, who have been stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan, the museum offers visitors of all ages something to engage with.
The Record of Honour is an interactive database held at the museum, of some 60,000 Jewish Servicemen and Women, available for you to search your family and friends who may have served in the armed forces.
