Please note that Stapleford Miniature Railway is private and is only open on these two dates in 2013 to the general public both supporting the local Leicestershire and Rutland hospice LOROS.
Saturday 8th Sunday 9th June 2013 Supporting LOROS, this is the first of the 2013 public open weekends of the historic steam hauled SMR at Stapleford Park.
The event will feature miniature engines, traction engines, vintage vehicles and tractors, old time fairground, steam and fair organs, craft and trade stalls.
Hot and cold catering with licensed real ales and ciders bar tent during the day, (and evenings for overnighters)
The historic railway which celebrated 50 years in 2008 will be in operation over nearly 2 miles of scenic line with up to 4 steam locos scheduled in use each day (subject to availability)
Admission only £5 Adults £3 children and OAPs (note additional charges for train rides)
Gates open 10-00 each day till tea free parking in the park for picnics!! Well behaved dogs welcome.
Weekend camping / caravanning £25 for 2 adults 2 children including admission both days (see the railways website poster to book)
The second event takes place over the August Bank Holiday Saturday Sunday and Monday 24th 25th 26th Aug 2013
