Welcome to the website for St Andrew's Cathedral at Aberdeen.
This church is part of the Diocese of Aberdeen and Orkney in the Scottish Episcopal Church and is supported by a diverse congregation of people.
The Holy Eucharist is central to the liturgy experienced week by week. Choral services are well provided for in the tradition of the best of Anglican cathedral music and singing.
Music is an important means of reaching out into the community as we attract many supporters for musical events - particularly our Saturday recitals which run throughout the year. In addition to hosting diocesan events and services, we welcome visitors from all over the world.
There are many who come from the United States of America as Episcopal pilgrims to make a connection with Aberdeen as the location of the consecration of their first bishop Samuel Seabury in 1784. This cathedral is a place that celebrates the shared spiritual heritage with America in the forming of the Anglican Communion. Besides service times, we seek to provide open access with volunteer stewards on hand on weekdays throughout the summer months.
Visits otherwise are best made by appointment via the cathedral office.
