Although swimming, paddling and rowing boats are a thing of the past in Promenade Park lake, there is a new children's play area in the valley which includes the galleon, an aerial runway and the popular water splash park to cool the kids off in the hot summer months.
Ajacent to the galleon is a large model boating and crabbing lake. You will also find a skate board park and BMX track located on the map below.
At the other end of the park there is a traditional children's playground with swings and slides and a maze plus a wildlife garden.
There are also plenty of takeaway kiosks to feed those hungry tummies or cool off with a drink or ice cream.
