Peover Hall and Gardens was built in 1585 by Sir Ralph Mainwaring, The Hall is a stunning example of an Elizabethan manor house, with its carved staircase, panelled walls and a good length gallery. General George S Patton used this beautiful building as his home and headquarters during the second world war. Peover Hall displays the American flag which stands next to the Union flag.
