Tours of the Olympic Park area
A worldwide audience of 4 billion was glued to the TV all summer watching the heroics of the world’s greatest athletes as they competed in the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Now we all have new sporting heroes. But it’s not over yet. Come and witness the final stage – the Legacy.
More than 100,000 people have taken our walks since they were launched in 2009, and many thousands more have hired a Blue Badge Tourist Guide for a coach tour of London Olympic sites. With the opening of a new access road, we can take you even closer to the venues, driving right next to the Velodrome, the BMX track and the Olympic and Paralympic Village.
Daily Olympic Walks
If you are suffering from withdrawal symptoms after the close of the Paralympics please note that our walks continue daily. Whilst there is no public access to the Olympic Park, we follow a route around the perimeter, as close as permitted by security. Our guides worked throughout the Olympics in a variety of roles, hosting teams, working with TV and film crews, some volunteering in various roles and others taking care of VIPs.
Come and hear the story of the Games, learn about the transformation of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and plans for the future.
Guided walks take place from Bromley-by-Bow Underground station.
Daily at 11.00hrs and also at 14.00hrs on Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays
