Visit the Old Royal Naval College, the great baroque masterpiece of English architecture, set in landscaped grounds on the River Thames in the centre of the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site.
Discover Greenwich: A new £6 million contemporary cultural venue in the heart of Maritime Greenwich.
Discover Greenwich will use state of the art interpretation including artefacts, artwork, film and stories of lives past and present to explore the significance of the Old Royal Naval College and Maritime Greenwich to London and British culture. The project also includes a learning suite, temporary exhibition gallery, shop, Tourist Information Centre and a new micro-brewery with a café, bar and restaurant which will open on the site of the Royal Hospital’s original 1717 brewhouse.
