About Newstead Abbey Historic House and Gardens

Set within a glorious landscape of gardens and parkland, the abbey still contains the medieval cloisters, Victorian room settings and private apartments of Lord Byron.

Perfect for a dream wedding, Newstead hosts a number of private and public events throughout the year, including Outdoor Theatre in Summer and seasonal events at Christmas.

There is something for everyone at this unique historic house!

The park and gardens are open all year round. The house is open all year for pre-booked tours or at weekends for public tours- contact the Abbey for times.
