In the museum, which is a Grade II listed Georgian Merchant's house at 26 South Quay, Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, England, you can learn about Nelson and the times in which he lived. Using strategy games, battle analysis and character discussion, our new exhibition 'The Nelson Touch: Inspirational Leadership' examines the ways in which Nelson motivated and led his men and shows how he became so successful. Can you open your eyes to Nelson's leadership skills? In the permanent galleries, you can explore Nelson's career, from his Norfolk childhood through his famous battles to his tragic, heroic death, with our hands-on activities. Find out about his mesmerising personality, his terrible wounds and his many illnesses - not to mention his scandalous love life.
Avoid the rats and beware of the cannon fire in Below Decks, a recreation of a man-of-war. Try our hammock, play ship's games, examine cannons from Nelson's time or relax in the picnic area of the Maritime Courtyard. Come and see it all for yourself!
