Redwings Horse Sanctuary was established in 1984 and has spent more than 25 years caring for horses, ponies, donkeys and mules.
Visit the Redwings Ada Cole Rescue Centre near Harlow, Essex to 'rub noses' with some of these lovely residents, all free of charge!
There are more than 50 rescued residents at the site, with nine characters that visitors can 'adopt' for just 12.50 a year, including Finnegan the coloured cob, Misfit the cheeky Shetland, Louie the gentle donkey and Boo the handsome Arab.
>The centre has an information centre, gift shop and cafe and there are tours and demonstrations taking place throughout the year. On selected days there are even horsey birthday parties for the adoption horses, ponies and donkeys, complete with extra special equine birthday cake!
