The Llywernog Silver-Lead Mine, Silver Mountain Experience has been improved and now includes a longer and more dramatic themed underground tour, new cafe and retail shop, a water-play area for children with panning and gem jigging, woods full of myths and legend, and a completely redesigned mining heritage and green energy zone.
From the team that brought you the Dungeon's in Warwick Castle, London, Edinburgh and Hamburg, the new Silver Mountain Experience in Mid Wales welcomes bookings from Groups and Schools.
Silver Mountain has already developed an extensive range of Curriculum based Educational Resource materials and the site has it's own bilingual Education Officer who works with School Groups to maximise the potential of the variety of subjects on offer. In addition, our helpful staff can help with Team Building packages and the Gem Panning, Scare Tour, Heritage Exhibition, Fantasy Woodland and old Mine Workings can all be used as part of this resource.

This is a little confusing! The old Llywernog Silver-Lead Mine, Museum & Caverns is no more. It was leased to a new operating Company called Silver Mine Attractions Ltd, on January 1st, 2012. It reopened as a family themed attraction at Easter 2012 and has been simply known as The Silver Mountain Experience ever since. Thank you for all the visitors and frioends who supported us over the previous, almost 40, years!
