About Eastbourne Heritage Centre

Discover Seaside Style!...and how Eastbourne developed into a fashionable, well-planned Victorian seaside resort.
Housed in this charming and characterful Grade II listed building are original maps, architectural details, scale models, artefacts and photographs of Eastbourne. The period-style cinema shows films about Eastbourne past and present and the shop to offers gifts, cards and a wide range of books about the town's heritage and history.
Special exhibitions for 2012 include:
The Eastbourne watercolour views of artists A R Quinton and James Owen show the town and seafront at its most idyllic and were reproduced in the early 20th century as colour picture postcards.
Sporting Heritage of Eastbourne visit main website for opening times and prices
Memorabilia and photographs of the town's sporting champions including swimmers, runners, cyclists, golfers from Olympic and international success to college, club and individual achievement.
Entry to special exhibitions and films are free with admisssion to the Centre.
