The Brent Museum, formerly Grange Museum of Community History, is located in the modernised Willesden Green Library Centre, and runs special exhibitions.
The Brent Museum pioneered community involvement in building the collection, and it holds hundreds of objects relating to the history of Brent since around 1800 including the Olympic torch from the 1948 Olympic Games and signed football from when England won the World Cup.
Families will be fascinated by everyday items and clothes from the past, and the new museum is interactive, with computers, specially commissioned videos and 60 recordings by local people telling stories about their lives in Brent. You can record your own video history, look at the historic photos of Brent, re-live the excitement of greyhound racing at the old Wembley Stadium, or even go food shopping with a wartime ration allowance.
